Date Night GRWM

So, Wednesday night was date night for me, and I was super excited to show you guys how I got ready for it.

Let's get right into it. I start everything by tying my hair back into a ponytail. Then I wash my hands. I start the actual skincare by washing my face with my honey and sea salt scrub that I blogged about a few days ago.
Then I pat my face dry with a wash cloth, standard stuff, you know.

Then to moisturize, I rub some coconut oil into my face in an upward, circular motion. You only need a teensy bit, as this stuff is super moisturizing. I have desert skin though, so I need it.

It may seem unnessecary to put this in here, but it's an important part in what I do to prepare to do things. I have to clean my bellybutton piercing, otherwise, it could get infected and cause a lot of pain, and I can't enjoy my date knowing that mt piercing might get infected. A clean bellybutton is a happy one.

Now, I get ready to do my makeup. I like to have my mug of tea and a lit candle nearby, because both are really calming. (I have anxiety, so even going on dates takes a LOT of preparation.)  And tea is yummy. So yeah.

Then I start my foundation by mixing Revlon Photoready BB Cream in Light/Pale, and Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 115. I use a Mary Kay foundation brush and my E.l.f. stipple brush to blend the foundation into my skin. I then use Maybelline Super Stay 24 Concealer. I'm not positive on the color of that one, but it's definitely on the pale side with a slight yellow undertone.

That's what the liquid foundation looks like done. After this, I go for even more coverage (go big or go home right?) and opt for e.l.f. mineral foundation in Light to set my foundation.

I then use Shy Blush by Mary Kay and the bronzing powder from the e.l.f. St. Lucia palette to contour and give my cheeks some color.

I then fill in my eyebrows with a dark gray eyeshadow. And, here, I'm using an e.l.f. eyeshadow primer and my day palette. I'm using mostly the browns in the lower corner. I wasn't sure what I was going to use exactly before I used it, I kinda winged it here. But I then used a black shadow as a soft eyeliner substitute. I used Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner, and Physician's formula Organic Wear Mascara to tightline and volumize my lashes respectively.

***There has been a break in the scheduled programming to inform the readers about how freaking awesome the Physician's Formula Organic Wear Mascara is! Not only is this stuff free of potentially harmful chemicals but it lives up to all it's claims. I personally am a fan of huge, dramatic lashes. I want it all-- length, volume, intense black color, and a decent amount of separation-- and this mascara gives it all! It's about $10-11 USD and totally worth every penny! We now return back to the scheduled program***
